ANS.Bachelor's degree programmes in business administration/ business studies/ management studies are called by various names by the different universities. Hence, you are likely to come across BBA, BBS, BMS courses, all of which are more or less the same thing.

Normally, there is an objective-type entrance test for admission to BBA/ BBS/ BMS courses which evaluates English language, quantitative aptitude and reasoning skills. However, the basic focus would be to seek admission into BBA BBS/ BMS courses offered by a government recognized university. There is really no ranking or assessment of colleges for such programmes, but every university would have its share of prominent colleges which attract the cream of students, and such colleges are usually rated among the best.

All specialisation or fields of management can be good, but when you choose a specialisation it should be-in-the context of your-abilities and personality. For example, finance is a good specialisation if you have strong numerical and analytical skills, while marketing is ideal for those with strong interpersonal communication skills who are open minded, comfortable with numbers and have commercial awareness.

The decision on a specialisation needs to be taken much later. So as of now focus on trying for the best colleges for your Bachelor's degree.

ANS. The bachelor of Business Management Studies (BMS)offered by university ofMumbai is a three years degree course. Admission is through a common entrance test conducted by theUniversity Of Mumbai, followed by a group discussion and personnel interview. The eligibility criteria for this course is 10+2 with maths as a subject [with not less than 45% marks aggregate at the first attempt. or Diploma in Engg – from Maharashtrawith 45% marks. The Notification is usually out April/ May. ANS. The Bachelors in Business Administration (BBA) courses in Jammu are offered by:-

Govt .SPMR College of Commerce, Canal Rd, and

Eligibility Criteria:-The BBA course is open to candidates who have qualified the Higher Secondary Examination [10+2] in any discipline of the J& K state board of school education or any other examination recognized by theUniversity of Jammu as equivalent with at least 50% of the aggregate marks.

Mode of Selection:-All candidates seeking admission to BBA course are required to pass the written entrance test, participate in Group Discussion and an Interview. The written test is 2 hours. The test would be objective in nature and cover english, verbal reasoning & general knowledge. The language used shall be English. The minimum marks required to pass the written entrance test is 50% of the marks assigned to the components.

The maximum marks assigned in the entrance test will be as under:-
